Roswell sits on the north side of the Chattahoochee, and almost any medical trip toward Atlanta means GA-400 or Roswell Road. Both are congested for long stretches of the day, and the return trip northbound in the afternoon is reliably slow.

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital on Hospital Boulevard in Roswell is the local acute care hospital, and Wellstar's MyChart portal provides access to its records along with the affiliated Wellstar practices. Many Roswell residents also receive specialty care at Northside Hospital, whose main campus in Sandy Springs and Northside Forsyth campus both serve this area, with records available through the Northside portal.

North Fulton has a dense concentration of independent specialty practices along Alpharetta Highway and around the hospital — orthopedics, neurology, pain management and rheumatology among them. These offices release records directly to patients on request, usually within a few business days and often electronically.

Roswell has a large population of long-term residents managing chronic conditions with the same specialists for years, which usually means well-organized records. That is an advantage: the documentation needed for certification already exists in a single portal.
